PRESS CONFERENCE EXPOSES DETENTION CENTER WHITE WASH AND COVER UP

TO BE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 6, 2018, 9:30 a.m.  AT THE STATE CAPITOL ROSE GARDEN

CITIZENS CHALLENGE HEALTH AGENCY’S INVESTIGATION OF DETENTION CENTER ABUSE, AND WILL ANNOUNCE DEMANDS FOR GOVERNOR AND OTHERS AT THE PRESS CONFERENCE

Uncage and Reunite Families, a volunteer grassroots group, demands that those responsible release and reunify immigrant children with their families! They were separated and detained as they crossed the U.S. border, and we are outraged at the lack of accountability from government agencies that have oversight!  The children are suffering emotional trauma, physical and/or sexual abuse, and malnutrition, and they are deprived of humane treatment and basic needs.

Speakers:

Esther Lumm, Uncage and Reunite Families

Rev. Bill Lyons, Conference Minister, UCC Southwest Conference

Rabbi Robert Kravitz, President of Board of Rabbis of Greater Phoenix

Staff members from the offices of U.S. Representatives Raúl Grijalva and Ruben Gallego
